Coimbatore, 19 September 2026. Tamil Nadu Agricultural University's provisional academic-stream rank list for 2026-27 carries 22,987 candidates, ranked on the +2 aggregate out of 200 (four subjects converted to 50 each). Two candidates scored the full 200; an aggregate of 195 was rank 180, 190 was rank 676, 185 was rank 1,482, 180 was rank 2,637, 175 was rank 4,188 and 170 was rank 5,989. Community ranks run separately: 190 was BC rank 301, MBC rank 262 and SC rank 82.
What Round 1 took. TNAU called 5,233 candidates to certificate verification on 22-25 July after the first online allotment. Their aggregates ranged from 200 down to 105, with a median of 171.5; 90% of them were at 156 or above and 55% at 170 or above. Because that list mixes every course and college, government and private, the low end belongs to affiliated-college and less-sought courses; the government B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture seats sit well up the distribution.
Later rounds. Round 2 (the first upward movement) verified 2,051 candidates with aggregates of 113 to 172.5; Round 3, the second phase of online counselling for those who missed phase 1, called ranks 9,138 to 22,965; Round 4 on 1 September called ranks 14,439 to 22,987 - the end of the list. By then only 205 of the 2,516 government-college general-quota seats were vacant, against 1,317 in the private colleges and Annamalai University.
7.5% quota. The government-school rank list had 7,977 candidates; the 423 called in its first round had aggregates of 176.5 to 199.5 (median 186.5). TNAU publishes no college-wise closing aggregate, so these round-wise ranges and the rank-for-aggregate table are the closest official yardstick a 2027 applicant has.
