How admission works

Entrance route detected on their own site: JEE Main.

Apply directly to the university. Deemed universities run their own application windows, which typically open months before the state counselling and close earlier than students expect.

Eligibility, in general

Deemed universities set their own eligibility, but the shape of it is the same almost everywhere:

A pass in 10+2 (or an equivalent examination) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the core subjects. Some universities accept Biology or Computer Science in place of Chemistry for particular branches.
A minimum aggregate, usually stated across PCM rather than overall, and relaxed for SC/ST candidates. The exact number differs by university and sometimes by branch, so take it from the university’s own admissions page rather than from any third-party summary.
The entrance route — either the university’s own entrance examination, a JEE Main score, or direct admission on your +2 marks. Several accept more than one.
Age is rarely a barrier at deemed universities, but a small number set an upper limit.

A deemed university is not TNEA. These seats are not allotted through Tamil Nadu’s single-window counselling. You apply to each university separately, on its own calendar, and you can hold offers from several at once. That also means no common merit list and no common fee — compare the total four-year cost, not the first-year figure.
