TN MBBS & BDS Round 2 Allotment Result 2026 — College-wise Allotted, Upgraded, Closing Marks & Seats Left

The Selection Committee published the Round 2 provisional allotment for MBBS and BDS on 15 September 2026. This page is the government-quota and management/NRI/minority-quota list turned into college-wise numbers: 2,964 candidates were allotted a seat for the first time, 2,209 moved up from their Round 1 college and 4,998 asked for an upgrade but stayed put. Against the 3,514 seats the round opened with, 597 remain unfilled going into Round 3.

Round 2 in one table — by course and quota

“Over” marks cells where new allotments exceed the 10 September vacancy plus upgrades out — seats added after the vacancy statement (Notification 027 added 250 MBBS seats) or virtual vacancies released by candidates who appear on the government-quota list. Those cells show 0 left.

NRI seats: the pool Round 2 barely touched

Self-financing colleges opened Round 2 with 484 NRI MBBS seats vacant and allotted only 102; private universities opened with 98 and allotted 0. 516 NRI MBBS seats carry into Round 3 — the largest single block of vacancy in the state, and the reason NRI-quota fees keep falling in the later rounds.

7.5% government-school quota — Round 2 allotment

The separate Round 2 list for Tamil Nadu government-school students carries 655 seat holders: 70 fresh allotments, 61 upgraded and 524 retained. The pool opened Round 2 with 70 vacant seats (as on 10 September) and its seats are counselled on the 7.5% rank list, not the general one, so its marks read lower than the government-quota table above for the same college.

Government quota — Round 2 closing marks, college by community

3,858 government-quota seats were newly allotted in Round 2 (fresh + upgraded). Each cell is the lowest NEET 2026 mark allotted in that college for that community in this round; a dash means no new allotment to that community here (either no vacancy or nobody reached it). Retained Round 1 candidates and the 8 special-category allotments (PWD, IRT ward, sports, ex-servicemen, CMC 20%) are excluded so the marks read as community cutoffs.

• Allotted: pay the fee and download the allotment order by 12 noon, 19 September (extended); join by 5 PM with your originals. Upgraded candidates collect their certificates from the Round 1 college with the relinquishment letter.
• Not allotted: compare your mark with the closing mark of each college in your quota above — a closing mark below yours means the college filled before your rank was reached, not that you were ineligible.

What is the Round 2 management quota MBBS closing mark?

The highest management-quota MBBS closing mark on the list is 506 and the lowest is 406; every college is listed above.

What happens to the Round 1 seat of an upgraded candidate?

It is relinquished automatically and returns to the pool for Round 3. The candidate must join the new college by 19 September 5 PM (extended by Notification No.27); there is no way back to the Round 1 seat.

When is Round 3?

Not yet notified by the Committee. MCC's national schedule of 14 September sets the state Round 3 window at 28 September to 9 October 2026 with joining by 14 October.
