Beyond government — private & deemed MBBS in Chennai

Chennai also hosts major self-financing (private) medical colleges and universities that widen your options if a government seat is out of reach. An important distinction for planning: in Tamil Nadu, private colleges and private universities fill 100% of their seats through state counselling (Dr. MGR Medical University), while all-India deemed universities fill 100% through MCC — two different systems. Our Tamil Nadu MBBS counselling guide explains exactly which route reaches which college. The College Path finder covers government, private, deemed and management MBBS/BDS across Chennai and Tamil Nadu.
