TN MBBS & BDS Round 3 Allotment Result 2026 — Result Date, Seats & Expected Cutoff

The Selection Committee will publish the Round 3 provisional allotment for MBBS and BDS on 12 October 2026, for both the 92.5% pool (government, management, NRI and minority quota) and the 7.5% government-school reservation. Round 3 opened with 1,987 clear vacancies in the 92.5% pool (as on 29‑09‑2026) and 25 BDS seats in the 7.5% pool — no 7.5% MBBS seat was left. Seats vacated by candidates who upgrade in this round are re-allotted on top of these. This page becomes the college-wise result on the day the lists are out.

What Round 3 is allotting — by course and quota

Clear vacancy as on 29-09-2026 (Selection Committee, 92.5% vacancy PDF ↗). Government MBBS total includes 1 IRT-ward seat at Govt. Erode. 7.5% pool: vacancy as on 30-09-2026 ↗ — BDS only. Full college-wise list: TN MBBS Round 3 vacancy 2026.

Reading it: only 83 government-college MBBS seats are clear going in, spread a few per college across 31 colleges — most Round 3 movement in government colleges will come from virtual vacancies, i.e. Round 2 holders upgrading out. The big blocks are 553 NRI MBBS seats and 630 self-financing BDS seats.

Expected Round 3 cutoff — Round 2 closing marks for every college with a Round 3 seat

Round 3 closing marks are usually at or below the Round 2 ones, because the seats left are the ones higher-ranked candidates passed over. The table puts each college’s Round 3 government-quota vacancy next to the lowest NEET 2026 mark it allotted to each community in Round 2 (fresh and upgraded allotments only; special categories excluded). A dash means that college allotted nobody new from that community in Round 2.

How to check the Round 3 result

1. Open tnmedicalselection.net → Notifications, or log in to the counselling portal you registered on: 92.5% (GQ / MQ / NRI / minority) ↗ or 7.5% reservation ↗.
2. The Committee also posts the provisional allotment lists as PDFs (government quota, management/NRI/minority quota and 7.5% separately).
3. If allotted: pay the fee online and download the provisional allotment order before 14 October, 12 noon.
4. Report to the college with original certificates by 14 October, 5 PM.

Round 3 rules that bite after the result

• Allotted in Round 3 = must join. Once you join a Round 3 seat you cannot upgrade or resign from it.
• Downloaded the order but did not join? You are treated as joined: registration fee, security deposit and tuition fee are forfeited and you cannot take part in any later round.
• Allotted but never downloaded the order? The same forfeiture applies, and you are out of the later rounds.
• Allotted the same seat again (you asked for an upgrade, nothing better came): you are “Retained”, and all the Round 3 rules apply to you — forfeiture, discontinuation fee, no further rounds.
• Upgraded? The Round 1 or Round 2 seat is gone the moment the Round 3 seat is allotted — you have no rights over it any more. Collect your certificates and join the new college.
• Round 3 allottees are not eligible for the stray vacancy round (or any additional round).
• Fees to download the order: MBBS seats in all colleges and BDS in government colleges — tuition fee online (debit / credit card / net banking). SC/SCA/ST/SCC candidates allotted government or management quota in self-financing medical colleges are exempt from the upfront payment if parents’ annual income is below ₹2.5 lakh. BDS in self-financing colleges — tuition fee paid at the college on admission.
• Report in person with original certificates (plus scanned copies) at the allotted college; certificate verification is done there. Missing the 14 October 5 PM deadline cancels the allotment.
• Candidates on MCC’s Round 3 joined list (All India Quota) are removed from state Round 3 processing.

After Round 3: the stray vacancy round

Seats still empty after the 14 October joining deadline go to the stray vacancy round. Round 3 allottees cannot take part in it. The Committee has not yet announced the state stray-round dates; for the All India Quota, MCC’s schedule puts the stray-round result on 17 October — see the AIQ Round 3 result page.
