- Tamil Nadu State Quota (85%) — reserved for Tamil Nadu domicile students, with 7.5% government-school reservation and community reservation (BC, BCM, MBC, SC, SCA, ST). State-quota cutoffs are separate and usually more accessible for TN students.

- Compare to your rank — if your NEET All India Rank is lower (better) than a college's closing rank, it was realistically reachable last year.
- Later rounds open more colleges — closing ranks rise from Round 1 to Round 3 as seats fill, so newer district colleges become accessible.
- Category matters — these are General ranks; OBC, SC, ST and EWS cutoffs differ. Check your exact category in the finder.
- Don't forget state quota — TN-domicile students often secure better government colleges through the 85% state route than through AIQ.
