Any graduate. Engineering and computer-science graduates move faster, but the course is designed so that B.Com, BBA, BA and B.Sc graduates can follow it too: the first fortnight teaches hardware, operating systems, the command line and TCP/IP from zero. Master’s degree holders and final-year students may also enquire.
| Weeks | Phase | What you learn |
|---|---|---|
| Weeks 1–2 | Foundation first | Computer hardware, operating systems, the command line, the OSI model, TCP/IP, addressing basics — no prior knowledge assumed. |
| Weeks 3–8 | Switching & routing on real devices | Switching & VLANs, core routing, subnetting & VLSM, IPv6, WAN & tunnelling, NAT / DHCP / DNS, ACLs. |
| Weeks 9–12 | Security, firewalls & EDR | Segmentation, next-generation firewall policy, VPN & secure access, SD-WAN, endpoint detection, incident response. |
| Weeks 13–16 | Deployment readiness | Multi-vendor integration, incident drills, change documentation and mock technical interviews. |
Each phase is assessed in the lab — on configuration you build, break and repair yourself — not in a written exam.
OSI and TCP/IP, addressing, switching and routing fundamentals on real hardware.
Firewall policy, NAT, SSL inspection, user authentication and FortiGate logging.
Routing on FortiOS, IPsec and SSL VPN, HA clusters, security fabric and diagnostics.
Application-aware policy, NAT, decryption and centralised management.
Virtual servers, pools and monitors, load-balancing methods and SSL offload.
Falcon administration, sensor deployment, detection policy and structured threat hunting.
Console administration, policy and exclusions, detections, remediation and rollback.
Reconnaissance, scanning, exploitation and reporting across network and web targets.
Overlay design, SD-WAN rules, performance SLAs and central management.
Capture strategy, display filters, protocol dissection and packet-level troubleshooting.
Enterprises run network security and endpoint security together, so the lab does too: Cisco switching and routing, Fortinet next-generation firewall and SD-WAN, Palo Alto application-aware firewalls, CrowdStrike Falcon endpoint detection and response, and SentinelOne endpoint protection — on live enterprise equipment from week three, not a simulator. Classes are taught live by working consultants and penetration testers; nothing is recorded.
Fortinet NSE-1 & NSE-2 · Aruba SD-WAN Pro & Expert · Cato Networks Associate · AI in Cyber Security · Cato SASE Expert L1/L2, Deploy & Advanced Security · Cato SSE Expert · Zero Trust Essentials · Netskope SASE · Qualys VMDR · Alison Network Security.
SASE and Zero Trust are included because most competing programmes do not yet cover them. Exam fees are part of the programme fee — there is nothing extra to pay the vendors — but passing each exam is up to you.
Triage security alerts, investigate detections and escalate genuine incidents.
Onboard log sources, tune correlation rules and build dashboards for the security team.
Write and maintain firewall policy, NAT, VPN and secure access across the network.
Day-to-day administration of switching, routing and security infrastructure.
Endpoint detection, vulnerability management and incident response across vendor tools.

| A conditional offer letter before training begins | Employment — the employer decides |
| Multiple interview opportunities on completion | A guaranteed pass in any certification |
| No placement fee, ever | A seat beyond lab capacity |
| One fee covering classes, labs, material, assessments, interview preparation and certification exam fees | An online or self-paced alternative |
Every bank, hospital, factory and software company now runs firewalls, VPNs and endpoint protection that someone has to configure, monitor and fix. Those jobs — SOC analyst, network security engineer, SIEM engineer — ask for hands-on skill with specific vendor products and the certifications that prove it, more than for a particular degree. That is why a short, intensive, lab-based programme can open the field to graduates of any stream, where a general degree alone usually does not. It is an add-on after graduation, not an alternative to college.
Ask a College Path counsellor for the fee, EMI options and the next batch date.
💬 Ask on WhatsAppNo. CYVORA Vanguard is an independent, short-term training and placement programme for people who have already completed a degree. It does not award a degree or diploma; you earn industry certifications and get placement interviews.
Look for in-person training on real firewalls and endpoint tools, vendor certifications included in the fee, and placement support in writing. The 4-month CYVORA Vanguard programme in Coimbatore offers all three: six hours a day of live lab training, 15+ certifications with exam fees covered, and a conditional offer letter before training starts.
Yes. The programme accepts any bachelor's or master's degree. Networking is taught from first principles and the first two weeks assume no prior technical knowledge, so non-technical streams start on level ground.
