Every figure on this site is derived from documents published by official counselling authorities. This page lists each source, what we take from it, and how we handle the cases where a published figure does not exist.

Where the counselling authority has published a closing mark or closing rank for a college, branch and community, we reproduce that figure as published. These are labelled by year on every page — a 2025 closing mark is never presented as a 2026 cutoff.
Some figures on this site are our analysis rather than published data: the count of candidates holding each mark band, 2026-equivalent marks derived from a changed paper pattern, and chance bands such as "Sure", "Good" and "Try your luck" in the college finder. Every page that carries one of these says so at the point it appears. They are estimates and should be read as guidance, not as official figures.
We do not publish predicted or expected cutoffs presented as if they were official. Where a 2026 figure has not yet been released, the page says the figure is not yet published and shows the most recent official year instead.
During counselling season pages are updated as each round's data is released — typically within 24 to 48 hours of the authority publishing it. Every page carries a visible "last updated" date at the top. Out of season, pages are reviewed before the next counselling cycle opens.
